With proper care and depending on the room's traffic, quality interior paint can last around 5-10 years. Areas with high traffic or frequent cleaning, like kitchens and bathrooms, might display signs of wear sooner.

Oil-based paints offer a smooth, high-gloss finish and are more durable and water-resistant. However, they have a longer drying time and emit strong fumes. Water-based or acrylic paints dry faster, have a minimal odour and can be cleaned with water. They're also more environmentally friendly but might not be as durable in high-traffic areas.
